Compared against the 11 supplements we have measured. Refusal rates differ by category — kibble and joint chews are not the same question — so we compare like with like where we have enough products to, and say when we do not.
The omega-3 figure is not really a failure — 100 mg is a supporting amount, not a therapeutic dose, and this is a joint chew rather than a fish-oil supplement. The chondroitin shortfall is the one that matters, because chondroitin is one of the two ingredients this product is sold on, and the trials behind those claims used roughly twice this amount for a dog this size.
What is actually in it
FindingFour common allergens in one chew: chicken, egg, shellfish and pork.
Chicken flavor is on the front of the jar, but the other three are not: the glucosamine is shellfish-source, the chondroitin is porcine, and the collagen comes from egg shell membrane. If you are avoiding any of those, the front label will not tell you. Inactives include brewer's yeast, coconut oil, oat flour, pumpkin, sweet potato and sunflower lecithin.

Both actives are named on the front of the jar with equal billing. At the label's own serving for a 50 lb dog, glucosamine clears the published range and chondroitin lands at 53% of its floor.
